Dr. Sourav Sahoo
Sourav Sahoo enrolled at the S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Kolkata, India, in 2014, where he pursued an Integrated PhD program (MSc. + PhD). He earned his master’s degree in physics in 2016 and successfully completed his PhD in 2021 under the supervision of Prof. Anjan Barman at the S.N. Bose Center. Following this, he worked as a visiting Research Fellow from 2021 to 2022. His doctoral research focused on revealing the characteristics of spin waves in isolated and interconnected 3D nanoscale structures. His work demonstrated the impact of shape anisotropy, spin texture, and magneto-elastic coupling on spin-wave modes in various 2D nanostructures, including connected nanodots and square ASI. He joined the Laboratory for Mesoscopic Systems as a postdoctoral researcher in October 2022.
Current Research Interests
Sourav Sahoo is currently interested in ultrafast processes in magnetic thin films and nanostructures.
