Dr. Maria Ameziane

Maria obtained her master’s degree in Materials Science (2019) and her PhD in Applied Physics (2023) from Aalto University, Finland. In her doctoral research, she focused on developing solid-state magnetoionic devices inspired by miniature Li-ion battery and supercapacitor architectures. These devices were used for electric field control of various magnetic phenomena, including perpendicular magnetic anisotropy, skyrmions, and RKKY coupling in thin film multilayers. Maria joined the Mesoscopic Systems group as a postdoctoral researcher in October 2023.

Current Research Interests

She is currently working on exploiting dipolar field-coupled networks of nanomagnets as a platform for building reconfigurable all-magnetic logic. Her research interests involve reprogrammable all-magnetic logic, nonconventional computing schemes, electric field control of magnetism.
