Dr. Jeffrey Brock
Jeffrey Brock received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics from Miami University (OH, USA) in 2015 and 2017, respectively. While at Miami University, he explored interrelationships between the structural, electronic transport, and magneto-caloric properties of Heusler alloy systems. From 2017 to 2022, he was a Ph.D. student in the Materials Science and Engineering Program at the University of California San Diego, working at the Center for Memory and Recording Research. His dissertation work was primarily concerned with the stabilization, detection, and control of chiral magnetic textures in thin-film systems. He defended his dissertation in January 2022 and joined the Laboratory for Mesoscopic Systems as a postdoctoral researcher the following April.
Current Research Interests
