Davide Pecchio
Davide Pecchio received his Bachelor degree in Physical Engineering from Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy. He obtained his joint Master’s degree in Micro- and Nanotechnologies for Integrated Systems from Polytechnic University of Turin, Grenoble INP - Phelma and EPFL. During his Master Thesis he spent six months at IBM Research Zurich in Rüschlikon, Switzerland, where he designed and manufactured test structures for the electrical characterization of Hex-SiGe NWs, a novel promising material for on-chip laser emission in silicon photonics. He joined the Laboratory for Mesoscopic Systems as a PhD student in December 2021.
Current Research Interests
Davide Pecchio focuses on the ultrafast dynamics in arrays of magnetic nanostructures, which are analyzed by means of femtosecond laser pulses. He will extend these pump-probe experiments to artificial spin ices and he is also interested in advanced micro- and nanofabrication techniques.
