Dr. Aleksandr Kurenkov
Aleksandr Kurenkov received his Master's degree in Physics from Moscow State University, Russia in 2014. Then he joined the group of Prof. Hideo Ohno as a PhD student in Tohoku University, Japan. During his PhD, he clarified the mechanism and dynamics of memristive field-free switching in antiferromagnet/ferromagnet heterostructures and demonstrated the use of such structures as artificial synapses and neurons. Since 2020, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory for Mesoscopic Systems of Prof. Laura Heyderman with the main interest in neuromorphic computing powered by coupled magnetic systems.
