Block course on magnetic thin film fabrication and characterization
Members of Laboratory for Mesoscopic Systems successfully ran a block course on the fabrication and characterisation of magnetic films.
This course was run in the third week of January 2025 on the Laboratory premises at the Paul Scherrer Institute, and spanned over 5 full days. The goal of the course was to provide master students with a complete overview of the fabrication, characterization and imaging of magnetic materials and magnetic devices.
The week was packed with tutorials on the various methods and instruments, and extensive hands-on experience.
